We’re sorry if our tours don’t automatically open for you. The latest versions of Internet Explorer (IE) do not automatically enable JAVA operated tours, because JAVA is a product of Sun Microsystems, a separate company from Microsoft.

   Firstly check if you have the Free JAVA runtime environment (JRTE) file from Sun Microsystems, on your computer. This will enable you to view other interactive content, not just our tours. Click http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp and follow the instructions, but first verify if you already have the latest JAVA runtime environment in the test box on the left. If you have, you don’t need to download this software.

   If downloading JRTE does not allow you to view the tours it is most likely Internet Explorer needs to be set up to view JAVA content. Instructions are given below, but we actually recommend you download the superb free Mozilla “FireFox” browser instead, which is much faster than IE and will speed up your internet use for other everything. Downloading FireFox is free and will not upset IE, then you can use either as you wish.

INTERNET EXPLORER BROWSER:

   Open IE and click on Tools, then Internet Options, then the Security Tab – Custom Level. Scroll down the list to ActiveX controls and plug-ins and click the button to enable “Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt”, then also enable, “Allow scriptlets” also “Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins”, and “Scripting of JAVA applets”. Then click OK.

   Now click the advanced tab and scroll down the list to Java (Sun). Enable the button “Use JRE  …….for <applets>” then click OK.

   Close IE then re-open it, to install the new parameters. This should enable you to now view our tours, but if it does not we recommend you download the FireFox browser for a better experience.

DOWNLOAD FIREFOX BROWSER:

   Click www.mozilla.com/firefox and follow instructions for downloading the free FireFox browser – click to save the file then follow the instructions to install FireFox.  When this is done, if you have not been prompted to allow JAVA click on Tools, then Options then the Content tab, click to enable Javascript and Java. Then click OK.
Finally, return to this site using your browser BACK button.
